migrating from a POP to Office 365 Exchange Online
We have a POP account with a service provider and we want to migrate everyones email to the Exchange server. The best way I can think of doing this is to connect everyone's Outlook client to the POP server and download all the email to each computer. Then after it is on the computer, connect to the Exchange account. My question is, will the emails then upload to the Exchange server automatically? Contacts? Mail?
Also, when would be a good time to repoint the MX record for our domain name to the Exchange Server? Does this all have to done in one day, or can I have the POP and Exchange running at the same time while I do this migration over a week?
