Watching .ts files remotely on Android

Hi All - I have NextPVR and I'm trying to watch it on Android.  Is it possible and if so what do I use?  I've tried installing the nDroid and nTouch but those just crash and can't seem to connect.  I set my admin/password and the port number is still 8866.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Are you using newer Kodi alpha/beta versions?  Isengard/15.x has a beta release that just came out for android.  I don't have NextPVR, so can't talk to it specifically -- and most people discussing Kodi+NPVR are obviously on PCs of some sort.  Not sure if there's an updated plugin, but if you're still using xbmc release, try a kodi 15.x beta (just released this weekend).

Beyond that... You can always try asking for specific steps in the xbmc forums:

(or in the nextpvr forums as well).

try using VLC, it plays back many formats and handles broken streams well

Given NextPVR seems to work well with Kodi/xbmc, why don't you try Kodi on Android?  You can sideload versions off the kodi download page (http://kodi.tv/download/), from either 14 or 15 branch.  I've been using 15 for a month now, very happy with it on Android TV devices actually.

Actually, looks like there are instructions for even watching live via xbmc/kodi, those these might be out of date, there should be similar methods: http://nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Client.XBMC

VLC for android is another choice, but the network browse/play functionality is 'beta' at the moment, and seems to come and go between builds.

I could get XBMC to see NextPVR through the addon however I can't see to access my recorded shows.

I guess for the VLC - I don't want to setup streams I just want to be able to remotely access the recordings through the library or something like that.

Sorry for the confusion.

Cool thanks for the help.  I kind of have it working through a windows share and accessing it over the LAN on my Android but it seems to pause a lot and doesn't stream properly...  I'm using an Asus newer router but who knows.  I guess I'll have to keep monkeying around lol.

Thanks!
