logmein: change authentication to network credentials vs. access code
Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to make logmein use the username/password/domain set of credentials vs. the standard access code option? I have tried uninstalling, verifying no local user account exists for logmein and then reinstalling with no success.
My goal is that logmein asks for domain credentials to connect to this resource as it is a member of the local domain and not a stand alone pc.

That is not how logmein works.. logmein uses the client to establish the connection with the web service this means that no NAT rules need to be setup in the routers as it establishes an outgoing connection rather than what the router will see as an unsolicited inbound connection and drop the packet. you can use another product.. in order to achieve what you want you need another product like vnc or teamviewer

No, you are misunderstanding the question. Two types of logmein authentication... access code which is just a password you make up or where it asks you for the windows: username/password/domain to connect.

now it will use comutername\username password or domain\usernzme password.. For domain\username it must be joined to the domain

Do you mean that you want to create a domain user profile after you are having remote access to his PC via Logmein?
Is the remote PC running Windows 7? If NO, you are out of luck. See the question below for details.

The pc is a member of the domain when the logmein program is installed initially. So you are saying to clear the credentials of the access code and then it will change the authentication method?
on each computer go into logmein control panel /options/ security and clear the personal password,, this will come into effect if you stop and start the logmein service

Did you remove the computer from the domain afterwards?
If yes, you need to uninstall logmein and rejoin the computer to the domain and install logmein using the domain admin account and try the following:-
"In the login-screen you´ll see :
1 username
2 password
3 computer
Change the 3 from computer to domain.
Now login with only username and password."

no, I didn't remove this server from the domain afterwards. stand by. I am trying the earlier suggestion.

David's comment worked. To be perfectly clear however, you must install the product (if already uninstalled) and then when prompted for the access code hit cancel, then exit the program and wait to see if it needs to update/initialize and then you will see the network credential prompt upon your next reconnect.
