"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you can't play it using wifi. But it can be downloaded from ITunes! Just drag the podcast from ITunes anywhere (desktop let's say) and copy it to android

you install iTunes on a computer, connect the iOS device with computer. From computer open iTunes go to iOS device and drag the podcast. The podcast is just an audio file and you can convert it in mp3 with iTunes also

I think posting in apple software isn't useful here.  I've not had to deal with iTunesU myself, but I'm pretty good at uncovering solutions others have recommended in the past.

One thing I've seen people recommend is TunesViewer (http://tunesviewer.sourceforge.net, there are android builds on f-droid) for specifically getting access to iTunesU content from linux and android.  Worth looking into.

The alternative is if you get the content in iTunes/windows, and want to transfer content to your android device, try https://www.doubletwist.com/desktop/.  DoubleTwist has a long history of being a great way to sync your iTunes media with android -- though I admit I don't know for certain what it will do with downloaded podcast MP3s, I'd hope it just works.

HTH answer both questions in one.
