Facetime for older iOS 6.x & upgrade path
I'm a newbie to iPhone & Apple products
My bro's iPhone 5 doesn't have a Facetime so I went to App Store to install one but it complains
that the version of iOS has to be 7.1.x or above.
Is there an older version of Facetime somewhere around ? What other options other than
upgrading the iOS that I have to use use Facetime on tt phone?
If upgrading is the only option, possible to upgrade direct from 6.x to 8.x ? Kindly provide
step by step instructions on how to upgrade without affecting/destroying the Contacts,
whatsapp / SMS messages & whatsapp groups & other apps that are currently installed

I'm also curious how did Facetime went "missing" on my bro's iPhone 5 (which I tot all iPhones
come with Facetime by default) or did I just fails to locate it? I'll take photo to attach in this thread

Possible to take a couple of screen shots to attach here of what to click in the latest iTunes to upgrade the
iOS & how to activate the backups? Was told by a colleague the iTunes interface/screen looks very
different from 3 years ago iTunes
