Java Vigenere Problem

Hi folks I've got the Vigenere code from the Rosetta Code site but for some reason even if I didn't change anything other than put a GUI it stopped working... I can't seem to find the error any help would be appreciated.

Please decouple logic from UI. Cause this would allow to write unit tests against the logic. Also it would give you a clue whether it is an UI problem or a logic problem.
