McAfee Endpoint Protection Installation Error

Hi folks,

We purchased 6 licenses of McAfee Endpoint Protection Essential for SMB. We're doing it as a premise install managed by our server rather than a cloud install.

I am currently going through the process of installing the software on our server using the automated installation package McAfee provides. It gets through all the preparation phases, locating our SQL server and such, but then when it gets to the actual installation, a Windows Installer help window is displayed showing a bunch of possible command line parameters, as if I had run the installer manually from the command line with a /? parameter. Once I close that window, the installer closes.

If I check the error log, I see:
Running: C:\Data\McAfee Extracted\ePOSetup\Setup.exe  /qn /l*+ "C:\ProgramData\McAfee\EASI\ePO.Setup.log" AGENTBROADCASTPORT=8082 AGENTPORT=1080 AGENTSECUREPORT=1081 AGENTWAKEUPPORT=8081 IGNOREPROPINI=1 INSTALLDIR=C:\PROGRA~2\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator MFSADMINPASSWORD_UE=**eASIPassword** MFSADMINUSERNAME_UE=admin MFSADMINVERIFYPASSWORD_UE=**eASIPassword** MFSKEYSTOREPASSWORD_UE=**eASIPassword** MFSDATABASEAUTHENTICATION=1 MFSDATABASEINSTANCENAME=MCAFEE MFSDATABASENAME=ePO_MFSERVER2 MFSDATABASEPASSWORD_UE=**eASIDatabasePassword** MFSDATABASEPORT=1472 MFSDATABASESERVERNAME=MFSERVER2 MFSDATABASEDOMAIN=MFLAW MFSDATABASEUSERNAME_UE=MarkAdmin PREVIOUSTOMCATSERVICENAME=MCAFEETOMCATSRV200 SQLUDPPORTISENABLED=0 TOMCATAUTHPORT=8444 TOMCATSECUREPORT=8443 ENABLEFIPSMODE=\"\" ENABLETELEMETRY=\"\"

This is on Windows SBS 2008.

I have researched online, but cannot find a solution. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Ithizar

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

While Installer's help window is on the screen, run Process Explorer and find out what was command line that launched msiexec.

Not to question your choice, but I wonder if you saw, for example, this comparison.
