I am confused about the title and the question.   Are you trying to pass a model object in the RedirectToAction return result?

Yes, I am.

Since the RedirectToAction doesn't take a model object as an argument, you would need to approach this problem in a different way, such as passing a key to a Session variable:

return RedirectToAction("Action", "MyController", new { @id="someKey"} );

and, in the action get the model object:

public void Action(string id)
    var model = Session[id];
