SQL 2014 Agent PowerShell

We have just migrated our database and SQL agent jobs from SQL server 2008 to our new 2014 SQL server.

The below is a step within a SQL Agent Job but now the job is failing on the powershell script and is coming back with Invalid Path.

New-Item '\\Server3\Release Files$\Success\Release\Release.txt" -type file -force'

Any ideas? I have tried the below

powershell.exe -command "New-Item '\\Server3\Release Files$\Success\Release\Release.txt" -type file -force"

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

My concern is the ' before the UNC path.  I feel like you should replace the " after .txt with a ' too, since you don't need the interpolation.
