Transfer Data Between Galaxy 4S with Broken Screen to Computer

I have a Galaxy 4S that I dropped. Consequently the screen cracked and now there is a black screen. I know that when you plug in the phone to a computer you have to select an option on the screen to be able to connect through the computer, but this is not possible given the broken screen; nothing is responsive as far as touch is concerned. I have a working Galaxy 4S that I would like to transfer the data to, but I need to know how to get the data off the broken 4S. Does it have a hard drive or is there some piece of hardware that I can extract and connect to in order to retrieve the data?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Kies should recognize it when you connect it and will be able to do a full backup.
