Help renewing an SSL certificate for the remote web workplace on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Essentials

Hello Experts,

Last June I installed Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Essentials at the office.  Part of that installation was purchasing an SSL certificate for the remote web workplace (accessed via remote.mycompany.com).  This has worked great for the last year.  A couple of days ago I received a renewal message stating I had 60 days to renew my SSL certificate.  I have found steps for the process on the following site:  http://blog.the-it-blog.co.uk/2014/09/11/renew-ssl-for-essentials-20122012r2/

The steps seem straight forward enough, but I was hoping someone here that has done this could verify these steps.  Unfortunately I don't have a test Windows Server 2012 Essentials box I can try the steps out on.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Nick

you can probably just login to the Cert Authority that you used and select renew for that certificate and then download the updated certificate without generating or reusing your older certificate signing request (CSR)

Would I then just import the new certificate?

I'm offsite right now, so I can do this until a bit later.  Thanks for the responses.
