What does "VMware critical notification" mean?

Small business with a small vSphere 5.5 "datacenter" consisting of one HA cluster of two hosts.

In vSphere client or Web client, I have an angry red exclamation saying "VMware critical notification".  I can acknowledge it or I can clear it, but what I can't do is figure out what the heck they are talking about.

Incredibly, searching on the phrase verbatim (in quotes) got me ZERO hits in Google. Quite mysterious.  What's my normal, best-practices place to look for info on this?

Thanks!

Yes that was it.  My hosts do not have the recalled patch installed, so this doesn't affect me.
Thanks to both experts who took the time to answer.

I'm experiencing the same thing VSI-O, and the recalled patch does not apply to me.  How do I clear it the warning in Update Manager?
