Office Fails to Save to server intermittently

Windows server 2012 R2 Essentials
Windows 7 Workstations
Folder Redirection turned on
Offline files turned off

Basically, every 6 files or so, Office will fail to save a file and say it cannot find the network location of the redirected Documents or Desktop folder. However, it does save a file, only it is blank. Usually, you can then save over that blank file with no additional error. The only recent change is their database program was updated.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Verify the permissions on the folder.
Run dcdiag /fix to check and resolve DC errors if they exist

The solution ended up being that their networking gear needed to be replaced.

It's okay to cancel it if you choose to but it may be helpful to others knowing their networking gear may be a cause for similar problems.
There could be a couple of reasons for the switch failure (arp, vrf, packet loss etc).
Glad you resolved it.

I only got one comment and though it was not a bad idea, it was nowhere near the final solution.
