I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That question doesn't make any sense.  Is that exactly how it was asked?

I would have said last - but reading the question again I would imagine it is FIRST

The rest of the sentence refers to "subsequent" which gives a clue - the last image can't have subsequent image.

Second does not make sense - so I would say FIRST is the answer.

Julian's answer makes sense. Although if things are affected by a z-index style, things can show up different than in the markup.
Maybe that's going above and beyond what the question is asking, but just sayin' :)
