Cisco ASA 5505

I have a Cisco ASA 5505 and I would like to upgrade the IOS to the latest version.  I'm not too familiar with command prompt and wanted to know if there was a way to do this via the GUI?  IF yes, I'm assuming (but will take a backup in case) that the config will come back once upgraded?  Also, this unit is remote, can I carry out this upgrade remotely?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, you can connect to the ASDM and do the upgrade from there. First you need to download the system software and the asdm software (upgraded version) to your local machine or if you have a Cisco ID you can do the upgrade via the ASDM (Web UI) and allow it to connect directly to and download the updates for you.
