How Can I Sign on Tablet and then email
I have a client who would like to go paperless with their Onsite Technicians in the Field Using either Ipad's or Android Tablets.
They wold like to use a Template either Word or PDF or whatever and have the ability to tab to certain sections of the form and answer questions with a large space at bottom to fill out work performed..
When form is Completed they wish to have it do the following:
1) Click on a button called Acknowledged and have a Sign Window Pop Up where the Client Signs
2) After Client Signs they click an OK button and it automatically pops up a Send-To screen where client enters their email address with a CC: to the client Accounting Person. and the only thing they can push is a button called Send---and off it goes.
3) after sending the emails they click Save and it will automatically save to a Cloud folder so the office staff will have instant access to it.
Any Feedback will be great...

Was looking at RJS Software @ http://www.rjssoftware.com/
This solution does everything the client wishes but they want 20K just to get started.
Looking for something more reasonable.

If you are certain that each tablet will have Internet connection at all times including tethered to /through the phone, using a web form, might be the simplest way.
are you considering option in developing something while developing something further.....?

I understand what you want to do. Providing you an option to use the web browser available on all to have each field tech to connect back to the companies site to do what you want and to have the data updated in real time. The web based application on your company server can trigger emails if you want in addition to having the data present and accessible in other ways.
I.e. Routing the event to another department to handle what needs to be.
This option provides for all encompassing process that is not dependent, susseptible to issues of missing an email etc.

we ended up with Pronto Forms 24 bucks a month Unlimited forms..they even helped us setup the first 3 forms.
We are a rockin Now.

To achieve the item is you outline suggests a custom app functions as a form that then interfaces with the mail out program.
If Internet connection is always present, setting up a web based application where each person/technician/field tech logs in and can see the tasks assigned as well as that will present the interface/form relevant for the task. The processing when the form us submitted/task completed it will do what you need, convert the submitted data into a PDF, and will generate emails as well as possibly storing the submitted data directly into a database from which data/reports can be generated/render at will.
Using a word template with a macro that emails might require some testing on whether it could/would work on the various mentioned devices.
