EXCEL Formula to Extract 1st Char and then Prefix & Suffix with static text

I need an EXCEL formula that will extract the 1st char from a cell and then prefix and suffix the extract character.

COLUMN A
CLIC (LITCHFIELD INTERNATIONAL INC)
SURFACE TECHNOLOGY, INC.

I need to take extract the first char from all cells in column A and prefix with "Sup-" and suffix with "-Index".  For the data above, the expected outcome would be:

COLUMN B
Sup-C-Index
Sup-S-index

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
