EXCEL - How to prevent EXCEl from removing leading zeros

When opening a csv file in EXCEL, how can I prevent EXCEL from removing leading zeros?  For example;

CSV File                                  EXCEL
Zip Code                                Zip Code
07110                                     7110
09888                                     9888

I want EXCEL to not strip off any leading zeros.  In addition, is there any way to restore a leading zero after I file has been opened in EXCEL?

You can format after with the Zip Code format under special. That should do what you want.

The trick shown in the video is to rename the CSV file to TXT, to force Excel to show the Text Import Wizard, and that allows to provide column formats. Selecting "Text" preserves the formatting including leading zeros.
