MS Terminal Server

Hello Experts,

I was contacted to assist a small business with the MS Office licenses on a Windows 2008 TS server. Where do i check such licenses on TS? i can't find the terminal service manager apps on the server, is there something i am missing here?/

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You don't.  There is no technical tracking mechanism.  Only Volume Licenses of office may be installed on a Terminal Server.  As such, it uses one key.  You must an equal number of licenses assigned to that terminal server as the number of CALs.  (Licensing from Microsoft is not based on concurrent connections - it is based on named human beings and/or devices).  The tracking of Office licenses is done through the accounting department in counting the number (with copies of receipts/invoices/proof of purchase) the company has legally obtained.  A shortcut (to some extent) may be found in the Volume License Server Center which should tell you how many licenses were purchased.
