zoning Alias naming convention best practices

I have one ESX host with 2 dual ports HBAs. I'm planning to connect each 2 ports to each Brocade SAN switch (switch A and B).

Any good ideas on aliases and labels naming such as:

‎ESX1-HBA1-P1-SWA
‎ESX1-HBA1-P2-SWB
‎ESX1-HBA2-P1-SWA‎
‎ESX1-HBA2-P2-SWB‎

Please share your experiences and best practices for hosts with 2 dual HBAs (4 ports). ‎

Well, naming conventions are plenty, each company has their own (historical or not) naming convention, some examples that I can think of:

No Hyphens and limited amount of letters/numbers (security by obscurity was often the reason given)
VS01A01P01SA
VS01A01P02SB
VS01A02P01SA
VS01A02P02SB

Underscores:
POD01_ADPT01P1_SW01
POD01_ADPT01P2_SW02
POD01_ADPT02P1_SW01
POD01_ADPT02P2_SW02

Another one, combination:
VMSRV01_HBA01-P1_SWA
VMSRV01_HBA01-P2_SWB
VMSRV01_HBA02-P1_SWA
VMSRV01_HBA02-P2_SWB

Provided I didn't mistype than these are some of the combinations I've seen.

We have used the same concept.  In one environment, the concept was as per below:

servernamer;hbaport#-switchname;hbaport#
i.e.  NYCSVR0001HBA01-NYCNET0001HBA01

In another customer, they used the IP address
ESX192168215001Port1-SAN192168215200Port2

If your designation works for you, then go for it.  I find yours easier than the ones I have mentioned.
