Data recovery from SC card on android 4.4.4

Hi all ,

Have a bit if a problem. I recently ran out of space on the built in memory card of my Samsung. I bought a 16BG card and inserted. Manually I moved all my photos from one memory to the other. I noticed the other day that I couldnt see any of the photos, when I browsed to the SD card via my laptop all my photos have gone!

Anyone recommend how I can get these back?

Would really appreciate help,

try to connect phone to a PC, connect as USB mass storage (without the inserted SD card) and try some data recovery tools like getdataback FAT from runtime.org. They have a trail version so you can check if it can see and is able to revocer the missing files.

Downloaded the getdataback but it doesn't see the mass storage device connected to the laptop?

Scan the card with Photorec. If it doesn't help, and if the photo's are really worth the price, send the card to a professional recovery agency.

then the phone connects as Media device, in this case it will not work.

Try this, to connect it as real USB-Storage.

Ive enabled USB debugging. The laptop sees the mass storage. But software still doesnt see it.
Did you run software as administrator? right click and then run as administrator.

Does phone gets automatically a drive letter upon connection, and is it visible in the disk management of windows (control panel, administration, computer management, disk management)

eveb you are in admin group you need to run is explicitely as admin, by right click its icon and choose run as adminsitrator.

if usb debbungging does not help you might try to install some apps which enable usb mass storage.

You somewhere should have such options upon plugging your phone in, i got it via the notification bar, pull it down and then clck the usb storage settings bar.
