Crystal On Demand Format
We just upgraded to Crystal 11 and SAP Business Objects Enterprise 14. I need users to be able to run a report and have it open in Excel without them having to export the report. Even when I set the report format to Excel (data only), it still opens in the viewer where they have to export it. Any suggestions?

Yes, I mean CR 2011 with BO 14. From the BI Launch Pad, users are used to running own reports. In the previous version, you could set the format to .xls and the output opened automatically in Excel. Now, I can't find a way to make that happen for on demand reports.

We previously used Crystal 2010 with Enterprise 2010. In that version, you just set the format as Excel and when the user ran it, the output opened in Excel. I was hoping to save the users an additional step to export the output.
You can schedule reports to run and produce Excel as the output but if the users are just clicking the report name in the BO Portal then it will run to the viewer. There may be a preference they can set to have the report go to PDF.
How are the users running reports?
