ibmi FTP over VPN

Trying to connect to FTP server on our remote-hosted webserver (IP x.y.z.132) from IBMi (IP a.b.c.102).

Webserver is accessible over VPN.
I cannot ping or ftp-connect to the webserver from the IBMi.
I can ping and FTP from my PC (a.b.c.82) on the same subnet as the IBMi.
I added a route with destination x.y.z.0 submask 255.255.255.0 nexthop (gateway address a.b.c.254) - did not help.

Thanks

Traceroute from IBM i to web server may help isolate problem hop.

What devices are serving as the VPN endpoints? Assuming there are firewalls at both ends, inspect firewall rules and logs.  Any ACL prohibiting IBM i from getting to remote host via VPN?

ASKER

Never mind - I was having a senior moment...  I forgot we weren't on site-to-site VPN to the webserver any more.  The PC uses a Cisco client to establish the tunnel, but there's no client on the IBMi - therefore no tunnel.  Duh.

I don't think there's a client available for the IBMi, but I'll look into that.  Meantime I'll use a PC based FTP client.

Thanks anyway for your prompt reply!
