security group exchange
Hi,
this issue only occurs for the offshore team when they use the EMC to update DLs… (so it would appear they are missing exchange permissions?)
If they use Active Directory Users and Computers they can update the DL
this is a mail universal security group, can mail universal security groups be managed by emc?
exchange 2010
Can security groups be managed via emc in exch 2010 and if so what permissions do i need to assign

Exchange will only see "Mail Enabled" Groups. They will be able to see Security and Distributon in the EMC if they are mail enabled. Any of these type of Groups that are populated into EMC they will be able to manage the Exchange attribute side and also adding/removing users.
If you want to modify security etc you will need to do this from Active Directory Users and Computers.
Will.
