How to locate a host through its ip address in Nexus7000

HI Expert, I have a question. The Nexus7000 can ping a ip address, for example, 10.1.1.1, and using show ip arp in the switch can
know its mac address and vlan. Show mac address-table can know it is dynamic mac and portchannel. How can we know where the ip address is ? in which devices and which port ? Thank you

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can't.  At least from the switch.  The old-school approach is to login to the next switch in line, and check the tables to see where the device is.  And just keep working towards it.
