We are currently implementing Project Server 2013. This is an upgrade from the 2007 version.
We have identified an issue in our development environment where when we are trying to establish a connection to the Project Web App using Project Professional we are presented with the following Error:
Project was unable to connect to Project Web App because of the following error:
Project Web App could not be contacted.
We have correctly specified the Web APP URL and can successfully connect using Internet Explorer.
Furthermore, if we following these steps we can establish a connection:
1. Open Project Professional and choose to work offline.
2. From the "File" tab choose "Info"
3, Under the "Project Web App Accounts" section, click on the "Connect to server" button.
This process succeeds on a second attempt, but fails silently on the first attempt.
This is very strange behaviour which we have never seen, and hope there is someone out there who can help.
