Cannot insert image file into VISIO 2013

When I tried to import a .gif file into MS Visio, the import fails.  Is there a solution to this problem?

In general, importing gif images works fine. Is there any chance the gif file is corrupt or badly formatted in some way? If you'd like, you can post the image file here and I'll try inserting it on my machine to double-check the file.

I don't have a good theory about what is causing your insert issue, but it's apparently not the image file itself. In the attached Visio diagram I added a background page and then inserted the your logo with no issues.

If you still can't insert the image, can you copy and paste it into your diagram?
