Did you get the Suite? There is a product that is part of the suite that has the ability to monitor physical systems and it feeds that data into vCOps via the integration so that you can see this all in one interface. It's called Hyperic.

Another bonus to Hyperic is that it can also monitor your applications that are running on a physical or virtual OS.

is it possible to get a trial of hyperic
Speak to your Account Manager, it's not available as a download, it's not often that they give it away for trial.

or arrange a demonstration with your VMware Partner.
Looks like they still offer their opensource version. I see the licenses here:

will this allow me to monitor cpu disk mem etc same as virtual servers
Yes Hyperic can pull that data the same way and when the two are integrated (vROps + Hyperic) it should be pretty seamless. Under the hood, Hyperic is using agents on the physical server to share with a Hyperic server that then relays that information to vROps and vROps applies it's analytics to the data.
VMware may have improved how these integrate, it's been a couple years since I've used these products together. I hope that helps!
Yeah it still looks like it works the same, vROps has an adapter that talks to the Hyperic server to get the data.
