Virtual machines: VENOM vulnerability? Remove floppy's from Vm's

hi guys

I came across this article:

It's basically discussing the possibilities of an 'outsider' using the floppy controllers on the VM's to exploit a threat. Now, we have floppy drives added to our virtual machines, but they're not connected.

In a nutshell, would that mean we can just leave things as they are? Or would it be best to just remove the floppy drives?

We usually, remove all floppy discs from VMs.

but, also only a VMware Administrator, or User with rights can upload or use a floppy disk.

You can use a script to disconnect ALL floppy drives from a VM.

Oh brilliant! You mean we can run this whilst the VM's are up and running and it will remove?
