DNS Fail Over

Hi Experts

I need to setup DNS Failover for owa for my sbs server. I have a A record setup (remote.example.com) which points to my server, in the event the broadband goes now my backup broadband takes over so my ip changes, this isnt a problem for my email as its routed through an online spam filter which allows be to specify both my broadband static IPs. It is however a problem for owa, I have setup a dns made easy account which allows me to configure DNS failover options I cant seem to get this to work, is there a recommended way to setup monitoring with this kind of setup, I currently have set it to monitor TCP on port 80, but I get the following error:

This record has failed monitoring checks and is currently in the failed state.

The method I have used for this in the past is quite simple - use a dynamic DNS service.
If the service wants you to use a host name in their service (or you don't want to move your domain name to their DNS servers) then simply CNAME the main host name (remote.example.com) to their host name ( yourname.dynamicdns.com ) . Then run a tool or have a configuration on your router that updates the IP address at the dynamic service when it changes.

I'd check out a service like DNS Made Easy.  Works like a charm, very affordable.  I've never had issues and been using in this respect for over a decade now.  You have 5 levels of IP addresses to cascade down the failure list, so it's quite comprehensive.

thanks guys, finally fixed this, the issue was I was monitoring if port 21 was open but I hadn't opened the port on the backup broadband connection so it wasn't failing over.
