Romaing profile and local profile won't sync

We have a 2k3 domain with people on windows 7 PC using roaming profile. Their login/out works fine, roaming profile updates correctly. Problems happen for laptop users when they are far from office and they do some changes in their local profile. Once they are back in the office and login in, those changes are gone and everything is back as last time they were roaming. It looks like their local profile doesn't sync with the roaming.  Is there anything in particular I would have to check in the AD ? Please note that no policy is applied to domain users..

thank you for your help.

I am not sure the solution workaround but as per your concern once try this may be it helps you to accomplish this task:

Login to any terminal, change your profile to static. Reboot terminal, change profile back to roaming and reboot once more.

You can also try this once:

Log out of all computers.

Delete the roaming profile on the server.

Log into local computer as admin; delete all prf*.tmp files from the profile on the local computer.

Log into local computer, don't worry about errors saying it can't find the remote copy.

Log out; let is synch.

Log in - should be Good To Go

Sometime it works..
