"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Click on the Start button and then choose Control Panel.

Click on the System and Security link.

If you're viewing the Large icons or Small icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link so just click on the Administrative Tools icon and skip the next step.

In the System and Security window, click on the Administrative Tools heading located near the bottom of the window.

In the Administrative Tools window, double-click on the Computer Management icon.

When Computer Management opens, click on Disk Management on the left side of the window, located under Storage.

When Disk Management opens, right-click on the partition to be modified.  Since there may be more than one partition per disk be sure you have the correct partition.

Select "Change Drive Letter and Paths."

Click Change, click Assign the following drive letter, click the letter that you want to use, and then click OK.
