iPhone

I have about 12 clients that have iPhones with our exchange account and 8 of them sync and push fine.  The other four get cannot connect to server.  I have done an exchange sync test that works fine.  I can also log in via OWA to their account fine.  I have checked their software updates and they are fine.  One user has an iPad, Mac, and iPhone all say the same thing "cannot connect to server" .
All settings are correct for these four users.  I am thinking it is something in the AD security?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is your exchange server on site, and are you connected to local wi-fi on the same network. If so would you like to connect to the mobile internet and delete and re-add the account. I have had the same issue in the past, Hope this helps.

The exchange server is on site.
Yes we are connected to  local wi-fi on the same network.  If they log off the wi-fi the email comes right up and syncs.  Also if they switch over to another wi-fi network on the same campus "different network"  it comes right up as well.

Not sure what delete re-add account is?

Hi ,

Ahh that's goood start,  I mean connect to a different network rather the main one, and delete the exchange account on the phone and re-add it.

Then connect back to your own network and let me know if it works.

The working and not working user are they on the same subnet?

If I'm reading this correctly, I believe I had the same issue.  Solution was as follows:

>Open up ADUC, then make sure to go to view > advanced features.
>Pull up your user and hit the security tab.
>Click the advanced button in the bottom right corner
>UNcheck the box for "Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent"

After doing the above, I was able to work with email as expected on my iPhone where previously I could not.

note - I had to UNcheck the box for my environment, but the source mentions to CHECK it.  I guess try both and see what works?
