Exchange 2013 with child domains

Planning an Exchange 2013 install and may have hit a snare - due to my lack of knowledge.  We have a parent domain and 3 child domains.  I am planning (may be wrong) to install the Exchange server in the parent domain.  I want to then just add the users from the child domains.  Is this possible?  Would appreciate any links you might be able to share and thoughts about this.

Thanks!!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You will have one exchange org in one forest. So, you can install in root domain and you can create mailbox to child domain users easily. You just need to prepare all domain. It is easy. Just follow Exchange 2013 installation steps. Check this also.
