I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There are different forms of Julian Day Number (JDN) dates. The most common and accepted standard form is an integer number of days since January 1, 4713 BCE. To convert this Julian Day Number to an Excel date subtract 2,415,018. An alternate form of the Julian Day Number uses a base of 1 A.D. To convert this Julian Day Number to an Excel date subtract 693,594.
