SBS2011 - new accepted email domain doesn't work for internal users

Hi - I've added another accepted email domain to an SBS 2011 server using with wizard in EMC and neither Outlook or Outlook Web Access can send to anyone in the new domain

the error we get is:

john.doe@newdomain.net
#550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found ##

There are several other accepted domains on the server and they are fine. We are using the pop connector to collect mail from the hosting company

I have added the new email address to the user accounts in Active Directory,

interestingly the new accounts do not appear in EMC and when I try to log into OWA as a user with the new accepted domain I get the error:

A mailbox couldn't be found for domain\jdoe. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.

So it seems like the mailboxes have not been created

have rebooted server, deleted and added the new domain a couple of times but it still doesn't work.

Any help appreciated

Did you added the new accepted domain in the email address policy.

Please check the link from https://technet.microsoft.com and http://www.msexchange.org  published by Neil Hobson as how to configure the email address policy.
