VB.NET Linq Join with Aggregate Function

I have two tables.  Lets say A and B.  I need to join the two tables and return the count from table be.

So an example

B.FID (This is the relationship to A.ID)

So I would want something like

A.ID, A.F1, A.F2, Count(BFID)
(My Guess)

I have an export process and the data in table B indicates what is held up.  So this is helpful for the engineers when they are troubleshooting issues with what is hung if the count is not 0.  Table A indicates the accounts.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi CipherIS;

This query should give you what you need

Dim db = New YourDatabaseContextEntities()

Dim results = (From tblA In db.TableA _
               Group Join tblB In db.TableB On tblA.ID Equals tblB.FID Into tblGroup = Group _
               Select _
                   tblA.ID, _
                   tblA.F1, _
                   tblA.F2, _
                   Count = tblGroup.Count() _
