"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

dose the device have an IP address on the network
so if you said "show ip" you would have an entry for 10.1.1.X

Thank you so much for your fast reply. Yes, the ASA has ip address, but the device connecting the ASA does not have the ip address and mac
On the Nexus you need to give it an IP address on the same network as the ASA or you need to go to your router (which will have an address on the ASA network) and do a show arpa from there.
