I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I go to User Configuration / Preferences / Control Panel Settings / Internet Settings.
I right click in the right hand pane, select "New", then select "Internet Explorer 10".
With the "New Internet Explorer 10 Properties" window open, I go to the "Connections" tab, select "LAN Settings".
I go to enable the "Use a proxy server...." option
I Enter the ip address of my proxy server and the port address, in this case I enter "192.168.X.X" and "8080"
Press "F5" so the settings get applied to all users as indicated by the solid green line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I  Check to enable the "Bypass proxy server...." option
Click "Ok", then click "Apply", then click "Ok" to save the changes

******* when i have enable bypasss option it not apply

maybe this will help.

Under your proxy settings that you are trying to apply, do you have "Gopher" selected??

If so, deselect it and try again....Gopher will interfere with proxy settings starting with IE7.
