Converting Video formats - Microsoft Expression Encoder or other software

I'm converting a video and would like to have the resultant video occupy a larger portion of the screen.  currently when I convert the video, the result is a small image in the middle (see graphic).
What are the settings I should be modifying?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What is the frame size of the original video?

You should be able to increase the size of the original somewhat (without too much graininess) by increasing the size mode settings above.

What is the size of the source video you are looking to convert?

Also, in starting your conversion, be sure to create a new job (File > New Job) and then import the video you wish to convert (File > Import). As I have ran into trouble in the past for simply dragging/dropping the video file into Encoder.

How can I determine the frame size of my original video?
When I play the original video in Windows Media player it takes up the entire width of the Media Player screen.  When I use the converter to fix the WMV format, it shrinks the image size.  I do not want the shrunken image size.
The only reason I'm running the encoder is so that I can use CAMTASIA to work on it.   CAMTASIA is generating an errormessage when I import this file into the project.

This is the error message I get when I try to import the WMV file into Camtasia.

In you post showing the settings (ID: 40783773), you should be able to change the values of the settings labeled Width and Height or the value of Resize Mode...
