synching data between 2 machines..

what tool or feature is available natively (if possible) to sync
K drive on PC1
K drive on PC2
both are on same network.

PC1 is main machine. Every night, a tool is needed to see what has changed (version tracking) and then just synching it on PC2's drive.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you have Windows 7? We use SyncToy with a Schedule.

Have a look

There's also Microsoft's Robocopy command that's a possible Synctoy replacement.

Three excellent choices ...

(1)  SyncBack  [The free version is fine]  ==>  This is what I use and has more configuration options than the other choices.

(2)  SyncToy ==>  From Microsoft, which is more "native" than the 3rd party SyncBack

(3)  RoboCopy  ==>  Also from Microsoft ... part of the Resource Tool Kit for server editions; also available for download from a few sites (just Google)

I'd use either #1 or #2
