What is the typical approach to upgrading the firmware for a ProLiant ML370 G5 server REMOTELY.<br />

I've usually run firmware upgrades locally either from DVD or USB. I have download the latest update to the server's C: drive in a .RAR file. I'm thinking the server will have to be restarted to initiate the firmware install, so that system files that need to be closed will be, during the installation. Just unsure of how to proceed.

ProLiant ML370 G5 firmware upgrade

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
