Ipad Printing

A couple of things:-

1) Trying to connect an ipad using Kyocera Mobile Print app but just won't connect. Have input the ip address of the printer in 'add ip address' section but the option to save settings isn't available

2) Any freebie or cheap app which will simply add printers to Ipads ?

You need to use a printer that has air print installed in it. Then iTunes will have the app, install it and printer. I print from my iPhone to my HP8610 which as air print installed.

So the printer needs to support your iPad, otherwise it will not work.

Assume you've already checked you're trying to print to a supported printer?  (Not all Kyocera printers are compatible).

Have you got WS-Discovery enabled on the printer?  If you have try increasing the discover time out in the app
(it's in Settings > KYOCERA Print > "Discovery timeout" on the iPad)

Using Goolge Cloud Print, does the printer need to have anything specific ?
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Normally a printer needs web printing software internal to the printer for this.

It would appear you need a more modern printer to do what you want.

Believe it or not the multi function photocopier / printer is brand new. I think I may contact the manufacturer.
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Try that. I have an HP8610 that supports web and air print and I know it works (used it). So ask the manufacturer if these features are available in your new printer.
