Outlook 2013 cannot delete items in Junk email

I have over 1,700 items in my June E-mail folder in Outlook 2013.  When I try to select them all or individually, I get the following error "The operation failed.  The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error.  If the problem persists, restart Outlook".
I have already tried the inbox repair,
I have tried to delete one at a time
I tried folder cleanup and empty folder and they all have the same results.
I even tried to move the items to another folder, they do move but they don't delete from the Junk E-mail folder.

Start Outlook in Safe Mode (Type Outlook /safe in the Run dialog box) and try deleting one or a few items in the Junk Mail folder in Safe Mode.

See if this helps and please let us know.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Tried in safe mode and same result.

Open a new, test, Windows User Profile (Account). Log into the new Windows Account. Copy (not Move) the PST File into the new profile, set up Outlook in the new Account and see if you can delete Junk Mail this way.

Same thing.

You must have a very corrupt mail file. Export the mail you can access to a NEW mail file (newly created). When done, move the Mail file to a non-Outlook location (c:\temp) and then access and use the new Mail File. That should work (brand new Mail File)
