Patch panels – What difference in quality amongst brands. Does it equal the price difference?

We are fitting out a place with new patch panels. We of course like anyone want to install once and they last for a good 20 or so years. But looking around I see a range in pricing. For example, this World of data patch panel has good reviews on Amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/World-Data%C2%AE-installation-EIA-568-B-2-requirements/dp/B005Y37I76/ref=pd_sim_computers_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=16BQGGAARG8ZX586MXQ1

This one at Cable Monkey is 5 times as much:

OK maybe that’s because it’s right angled, however even another one they have is still a lot more

Does it really make much of a difference, especially as the Amazon one is so well reviewed? I do however want to put the best solution I can in for the customer.
Thanks in advance.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think a large part of it is Cable Monkey operating at a higher margin (due to lower volume) over Amazon.

The more expensive one is for FTP cable, with shield.

The patch panels I bought were all around $50, so both the amazon link and that at Cable Monkey look OK.

Most patch panels are the same except for the number of ports and additional features each company adds into their product. They all should meet the standard networking standards for Cat5/Cat6. After that, everything else is an additional feature you pay for based on what you need for your location.

We have use low priced and high priced units and never really found a big difference in them.

Hope this helps!
