I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Of course. Any exchange 2007 e-mail account has an user and a password involved. If it is integrated with your domain, it could be the same user and password than Windows user and password.
If it is not integrated, it should be the user and password of the account created on exchange for each user.
If user still doesn't have an account, then you should create it and tell to user the credentials you put in the moment when you create the account.

Here is a link with explanation about how to manage exchange user accounts:

Hope this helps. Regards.

it is existing users they were working fine before now they are facing a problem with outlook and mobile phones are asking passwords every one minutes.
If you have a domain controller sometimes exchange is very picky and it is not able to authenticate with the domain controller. I had this happen when my supervisor rebooted the exchange server first and then the domain controller. If you have this issue reboot your exchange server then once it is back up go into services and restart the information store services.
If problem still stays after restarting, try to turn off RPC over HTTP.
