Cisco ASDM becomes unresponsive

Hello All,

I am using ASDM 7.3(1), ASA version 9.1(5), Java version 1.8.0_40.  After about five minutes of launching, the interface locks up and becomes unresponsive.  

I have Java 8 Update 31 on my desktop and 8 Update 40 on my laptop.  The ASA itself seems to be working fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using the installed version or the web console version?

I have tried both.  Currently, I am using the web console version.
I had the problem with one client. Turned out the web console worked better. But it was a while back and I may have upgraded either asdm or the asa version. Have you had issues since you have been on those versions?

I did not have any issues in the beginning with these versions.
I have to deal with many ASA's and I only had the problem at one client. In their case I had Cisco replace the ASA but the new one still had some issues with asdm at first but later I used the web console and had no issues. Thinking back now I wonder if something on the network can cause it. If at all possible try it off hours sometime and see if you remove the main connections from it and hook up your laptop so it is the only device connected and see if you still have the issue.
