Outlook 2007 Deleted Items only holding 7 days

Hi all

We have a user who's IMAP account's 'Deleted Items' folder will only hold the last 7 days worth of emails.

We've checked and there's not AutoArchive settings enabled.

Any ideas?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are there any Exchange policies in place? Is it affecting other users?

Can I have more information on the environment please?

Thanks

There's no Exchange policies, it's an imap box running from a MDaemon server.

It is just this one user.

In Exchange its possible to set the Delete Items Rentention Policy per Mailbox.

Maybe a similar setting in the MDaemon + IMAP box?

I dont have any experience with MDaemon + IMAP so cant give you 100%.

Thanks

I have checked on the MDaemon settings and there is a retention policy but it is set to never delete.

We found the problem. The user had their IMAP box synced on their iPhone which is set to clear deleted messages after a week. Never even crossed our minds at first!
