Try different browsers.  Make sure Chrome is one of these browsers.

There is a volume control at the bottom left corner of the You Tube interface. Check to see if it's muted or turned down.

Hope this helps!

It was working with Internet Explorer previously.  I want to use the same  browser.
Volume control at bottom left of You Tube was already turned up.

You can reset the browser settings to default and then reinstall the necessary plugins for media playing.
If you were using Skype with a headset go back to your playback devices and set your speakers as default it may have switched to headphones.

My Audio Setting in Skype are as follows:

Speakers / HP (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC)

Is that what they should be ?

Please walk me with steps to get sound in youtube.

The settings in in Skype have nothing to do with sound from youtube.
If you use any other brother (chrome or opera) then reinstall it completely.
Also reinstall the sound drivers completely.
Look to your taskbar in windows not Skype
rightclick speaker icon> then playback devices and set your speakers as default/
When your playing Youtube you should be hearing sound from your speakers.
Skype is not being used with youtube right?
So please disconnect any usb headsets then go to your playback devices and put the speakers as default, if it is showing default make your hd audio default instead so you can reactivate the speakers, then rightclick speakers and make default.
Like I said> it may have switched to headphones since usb audio devices like headsets can switch off the speakers and replace with headphones.
Switching them back maybe necessary each time you have used Skype.
