Use Database Mail to send SQL results as HTML with subtotals.

Hi,

Is there a way to insert subtotals for the field SALES into the HTML body below, for each change in BRAND?

Also, I'd like to insert a Grand Total as the very bottom row of the HTML table.    (I may have the GROUP BY in the wrong spot)

Thanks for looking at this.

DECLARE @tableHTML  NVARCHAR(MAX) ;

SET @tableHTML =
    '<H1>TEST REPORT</H1>' +
    '<table border="1">' +
    '<tr><th>BRAND NAME</th><th>SALES AMOUNT<th></tr>' +
    CAST ( ( SELECT td = BRAND, '',
					td = FORMAT(SUM(SALES), 'C', 'en-us')
			  FROM STORESQL.DBO.SDP_TAB GROUP BY BRAND
              FOR XML PATH('tr'), TYPE
    ) AS NVARCHAR(MAX) ) +
    '</table>' ;

EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail @recipients='someone@earth.org',
    @subject = 'Work Order List',
    @body = @tableHTML,
    @body_format = 'HTML' ;

Doesn't your SQL already provide a sub-total for each brand?

If you add "with rollup " to end of GROUP BY BRAND then you will get an overall total as well.
